What is Park & Palate?

Park & Palate, Klyde Warren Park's signature fundraiser, showcases Texas's most popular chefs as well as wineries, breweries and spirits from around the world, all against the backdrop of the distinctive Dallas skyline. The weekend kicks off on Friday, October 13 with Down to the Roots, an exclusive fundraising event for sponsors and donors, which includes an evening concert and chef competition. Saturday, October 14 features the Grand Taste, a Texas-sized showcase of notable chefs, sommeliers, wineries, spirits, craft cocktails and beer from all over the globe. Park & Palate will highlight the cutting-edge Dallas restaurant scene along with tastemakers throughout the region.

 
 

When are the events?

Down to the Roots, Friday, OCTOBER 13, 6 – 10 pm

Join us for a kickoff with a twist! Two chefs from each major city in Texas will come together to highlight the biggest and best of Texas cuisine. Now in its third year, the theme for the 2017 event is Pillars and Protégés. Each invited chef will be able to select either a mentor or mentee to help them create a unique dish for the weekend. Klyde Warren Park’s premier fundraising event, will also feature a national country music recording artist, chef competition, expertly paired wines, beer, and premium spirits featuring craft cocktails. Come mix, mingle, dance and dine under the stars!

 

Grand TASTE, Saturday, OCTOBER 14, 2 – 6 pm

Park & Palate’s Grand Taste offers a showcase of more than 30 chefs and 30 wineries, plus spirits, craft cocktails and beer from all over the country. Wine tastings will be held throughout the day hosted by special guests. Get up-close and personal with chefs, sommeliers, mixologists and brewers as you sip and savor the day away.

 
 

What do I need to get in?

You’ll either need a badge or wristband for entry. If you already have your badge or wristband, you can head straight to the entrance. If you need to pick up your credentials, please stop by our registration desk to check in.

 
 

Can I buy tickets on site?

No - tickets must be purchased in advance online

 
 

Where do I park?

All ticketholders are welcome to valet park for $20 per car. Other parking options in the area include:

·       Dallas Museum of Art Garage, 1916 N. St. Paul Street

·       Trammell Crow Center Garage, 2001 Ross Avenue

·       One Arts Plaza Garage, 1722 Routh Street

·       Metered Street Parking around the park and throughout the Arts District

 

Klyde Warren Park is also easily accessible by DART and the free McKinney Avenue Trolley.

Are kids allowed?

Park & Palate is 21 and up, no exceptions. We will have lots of free, family-friendly activities on the East Lawn during Park & Palate, including fitness classes, games, food trucks, music, and more!

 
 

Can I bring my own food and beverage?

No outside food or beverage will be permitted at Park & Palate. You may not bring any alcoholic beverages outside of the event area.
